Ambassador Kelly hosted a reception for one of the largest American companies in the Georgian market (September 20)

On September 20, Ambassador Kelly hosted a reception for AECOM, one of the largest American companies in the Georgian market.  AECOM introduced its current and future projects in Georgia to a large audience of public and private sector contacts, including Ketevan Bochorishvili, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy.  The United States proudly supports American investment in Georgia across all sectors as Georgia further develops its economy. We’re excited to see American brands and businesses increasing these ties between our countries.

Ambassador Kelly’s Remarks to the Press after the Event

Q  What is the significance of AECOM’s entrance to the Georgian market?

Ambassador Kelly:  Well, this is very important.  One of our top priorities here for the United States is trying to bring as much trade and investment from American companies to Georgia.  So, we are very pleased that AECOM has decided to make an entrance into the Georgian market and, I think, it is particularly important that AECOM is an infrastructure company, because,  I think, that is a sector of the economy that American companies really can make a real contribution and help Georgia develop its economy, create jobs.  So, we are very pleased to host this event here today.
