ALERT: Prohibition on Car Traffic starting 12 noon Friday, April 17
Location: Georgia, countrywide
Event: The Georgian government has announced a complete prohibition of all car traffic beginning at noon (12 p.m.) on Friday April 17 through Tuesday April 21 (time TBD). This will include taxis. The restriction does not apply to cargo transportation and delivery vehicles. Pedestrian movement is allowed. Although grocery stores and pharmacies will remain open, we recommend you use delivery services instead, which will continue to operate. In addition, the new restrictions include the mandatory use of face masks at grocery stores and other closed public spaces.
