Ambassador Degnan attended Public Health Emergency Management Conference
Public health collaboration between the United States and Georgia is a crucial component of our strategic partnership. As we commemorate 30 years of diplomatic relations, Georgian-American accomplishments in the field of health stand out in particular. In order to share lessons learned and improve our capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to health hazards in Georgia and throughout the region, Ambassador Degnan today joined public health specialists from Georgia, including Deputy Minister Gabunia. We will be more successful in addressing our present and future public health concerns if we have trained personnel and improved emergency management systems.
