Ambassador Degnan attends the World Hepatitis Day event at NCDC (July 28)
Today, Ambassador Kelly C. Degnan joined Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze and representatives of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to mark World Hepatitis Day. Viral hepatitis remains a major global health threat, frequently labeled as a “silent epidemic”.
Here in Georgia, the NCDC, with the support of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, works together on the frontlines of the hepatitis epidemic.
The U.S. Embassy is proud to support the work of the Ministry of Health, the NCDC, and the CDC in Georgia and in the Caucasus.
