Ambassador Degnan hosts a virtual meeting with U.S. Government Exchange Program Alumni of Georgia (June 17)
Today, Ambassador Kelly C. Degnan hosted a virtual meeting with the board of the U.S. Government Exchange Program Alumni Association of Georgia (EPAG). Ambassador Degnan commended EPAG members on their active work, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the association held weekly talks open to all members, providing briefings on the effects of the pandemic from the perspective of practitioners in the economic, legal, educational, and media spheres.
The U.S. Embassy is very proud of our program alumni in Georgia, who work very actively in the public, private, and civil society sectors. Over 5,000 alumni form a motivated community dedicated to giving back to Georgian society based on the skills and values gained through their U.S. exchange experience.
