Ambassador Degnan visited Vocational College in Guria

The United States has invested millions of dollars in developing vocational education in Georgia, helping businesses expand and developing a key segment of Georgia’s workforce. Today Ambassador Degnan visited one of the Embassy’s partner centers, Horizonti, the only vocational college in the Guria region. Beyond its technical efforts in education, Horizonti has worked closely with Peace Corps to strengthen its English language program and create an English language library. Through USAID’s Economic Prosperity Initiative, Horizonti received sewing machinery, educational equipment, and training for their teachers.
