U.S. Embassy in Georgia

The United States supports Georgian women entrepreneurs.  Today, Ambassador Degnan visited Tchrebalo Winery which has opened a new restaurant with U.S. support. Ambassador took a tour of the facilities and met with the owners, Salome and Sofia Lekishvili. To improve customer experience and attract new visitors to the winery, USAID’s Economic Security Program helped the Tchrebalo Winery furnishing its facility and outfitting the kitchen. USAID’s Economic Growth Office supports vineyards, tea growers, and other potential attractions to boost Georgia’s tourism potential, which will more directly benefit rural populations.
