q-n about the event
Ambassador Kelly Degnan: We had an excellent meeting today. Very informative. I’m impressed at the amount of work that is going on to touch Georgians’ lives from the local level on up with different initiatives aimed at building the connection, the infrastructure, that will bring more economic flow through Georgia and enrich people’s lives in local communities, all the way up to the cities. It was really an excellent meeting and I look forward to the next time I have an opportunity to discuss some of the programs like USAID’s Good Governance Initiative that is designed to help build local communities and allow them to grow their economies at a local level by making more transparent and stronger vetting and infrastructure procedures. There are many areas where we are already collaborating, and I think there is room for many more.
