On December 12 in Borjomi, Ambassador Kelly met with American Peace Corps Volunteers serving in Georgia’s Shida Kartli, Imereti, and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions. The Volunteers told Ambassador Kelly about their rewarding experience in Georgia teaching English, and working with community organizations to promote community development, and health. Peace Corps Volunteers serve two years of their lives around the world promoting mutual understanding between the United States and their host countries. They also transfer technical skills to host count
ry counterparts before returning to the United States and promoting greater understanding about the countries where they just served.
