Ambassador Kelly’s Remarks to Media at Humanitarian Civic Assistance project Ribbon Cutting (November 20)
Q-n about the event
We are very pleased to cooperate with the Georgian military, and also with the ministries of Defense and Health, with local government here to renovate these homes for children. Of course, they are the future of Georgia and the United States has made a big investment in Georgia and this is, of course, part of this investment. We believe that children develop into happier and healthier individuals if they are taken out of a large institutional context and put into homes such as these. So, this is why we are so happy to contribute here.
