On July 14 the International Society of Alexander Kartveli and Georgian National Academy of Sciences signed a memorandum that aims to build a new foundation for research and popularization of Alexander Kartveli. As a guest of honor, Ambassador Norland emphasized the contribution of Alexander Kartveli, famous Georgian innovative aircraft designer, to American history before a large audience of academicians, professors and researchers. “The Alexander Kartveli story really is one of the most inspiring stories” that says a great deal about the U.S. – Georgia relations, Ambassador Norland told the media.
