2 MINUTE READ
September 11, 2023

Today, we join people across the globe to remember the nearly 3,000 people killed and more than 6,000 injured in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.  In tribute to their memories and the bravery displayed on that day, representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi climbed the number of steps at the Chronicles of Georgia Monument equivalent to the 1,980 steps of the 110-story tall World Trade Center where 2,753 perished.  On the 22nd anniversary of this tragedy, we honor the victims, as well as reaffirm our shared values and efforts to defend our country and our allies.
