DCM Rian Harris opened newly renovated science classroom at Prezeti’s Akhaldaba Public School
Science, technology, engineering, and math education challenges children’s critical thinking skills and prepares them for 21st century careers. Georgians with strong skills in these areas will be able to launch new businesses and help grow the economy. Today Deputy Chief of Mission Rian Harris helped celebrate the renovation of the science classroom at Prezeti’s Akhaldaba Public School, a project implemented by the U.S. Embassy Bookmobile. The room was named in honor of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and creates a space where children from families displaced by the 2008 war can find inspiration, tools and activities to explore the universe.
