Defense Threat Reduction Agency team strengthens Georgia’s land borders (October 8)

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Proliferation Prevention Program (PPP) team visited multiple sites around Georgia in early October and hosted a kick-off event for their new Land Border Project. Following the success of the Batumi Boat Basin, the PPP team will now focus on refurbishing existing border stations and updating critical equipment. This initiative will provide key enhancements to strengthen Georgia’s land borders and illustrates the continued commitment of both the United States and Georgia to improve regional security.
