Event: The Embassy is tracking demonstrations today (November 12, 2021) in front of the Ministry of Justice and around the Didube metro stop in downtown Tbilisi. The demonstrations have already resulted in reported road closures in the area.
The Embassy reminds U.S. citizens that large crowds are unpredictable and confrontations and violence among event attendees, counterdemonstrators, and police can occur with little or no warning. U.S. government personnel are advised to exercise caution when traveling downtown and to avoid this area.
