On 27 Jun, the Embassy Tbilisi Defense Threat Reduction Office facilitated a cross-border veterinary health workshop between partners from the Georgian State Laboratory of Agriculture and National Food Agency, along with members of the Azerbaijani Agrarian Services Agency, Veterinary Science Research Institute, and Food Safety Institute. This was the first in a series of technical exchanges between Georgia’s and Azerbaijan’s veterinary health experts. During this workshop, the participants discussed disease diagnostics, serology, laboratory operations, best practices, and future engineering exchanges for operation and maintenance at labs. The collaborative foundation will reduce biological threats in the region and enhance transparent dialogue in dynamic agriculture and veterinary health fields.
