Learn, exchange, grow, and serve. The U.S. Department of State offers many programs for non-U.S. citizens wishing to come to the U.S. for cultural, educational, or professional exchange. These programs are augmented by local opportunities in countries around that world that allow non-U.S. citizens to explore U.S. culture and the English language. The United States supports international education and welcomes foreign students and exchange visitors. Before applying for a visa, students and exchange visitors must be accepted by their schools or program sponsors.
American English is a resource center for teaching and learning about American English.
In September 2003, with direct support from the U.S. Government and Tbilisi State University, KVALI opened the Education Advising Center (EAC) in Tbilisi. This 3,600 square ft. center caters to the needs of all students in Georgia who are interested in pursuing their education in U.S. Universities. Additionally it serves as a major hosting facility for visiting scholars, students and educators by providing them with temporary working space, free high speed Internet access and more.

The U.S. Embassy in Georgia supports a variety of international exchange programs each year, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).
Fulbright Faculty Development Program

Fulbright Graduate Student Program
The submission deadline for the online application is 18:00, August 1, 2022.
Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP)
Project requests may be submitted throughout the fiscal year and must be submitted by September 30, 2022.
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) carries out a number of programs to support English teachers in Georgia. Most of our programs are carried out in cooperation with the English Teachers Association of Georgia (ETAG) , a professional association for English teachers and university-level students of English who anticipate careers in English language instruction.
Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX)
The program will offer scholarships to secondary school students from Georgia for the 2022-2023 academic years.
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi is pleased to announce an open competition for the Georgian TVET Institutions to submit applications to the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Support Program 2022. Interested applicants should submit proposals to TbilisiGrants@state.gov by June 15, 2022, 18:00.
University Research Development Program
Eligibility is limited to U.S. non-profit/non-governmental organizations subject to 501 (c) (3) of the tax code, U.S. and Georgian universities, and educational institutes.
Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation
Through the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP), the U.S. Department of State supports eligible countries around the world in the restoration of ancient and historic buildings, assessment and conservation of rare manuscripts and museum collections, preservation and protection of important archaeological sites, and the documentation of vanishing traditional craft techniques, indigenous languages, and traditional forms of expression such as music, dance, and languages.
