Embassy hosts discussion of ethnic diversity in U.S. and Georgia (February 19)


On February 19, the U.S. Embassy commemorated African-American History Month by hosting a diverse group of young professionals and university students at the Embassy for a roundtable discussion on the richness and challenges of ethnic diversity in modern societies. Ambassador Norland discussed the American experience, and introduced guest speakers Irena Popiashvili, Dean of Visual Arts & Design School, Free University; and Zaza Marjasnishvali, jazz composer, musician, and founder of Zazajazz Studios, New Orleans, Louisiana.
