English Language through Civic Education (ELCE) conference gathers English teachers from across Georgia (June 13)

3On June 12 and 13 more than 80 English Language teachers from Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Imereti, Adjara, Shida Kartli, Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Guria, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tbilisi participated in the ELCE II final conference. Forty-three teachers conducted workshops and made poster presentations on different English Language and Civic topics.

groupEnglish Language through Civic Education (ELCE) program was funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi and implemented by PH International. Through ELCE I and II more than 500 English teachers from over 220 schools across the country have been directly trained and coached by the American English Language Teacher Trainers over the four-year period of the program. In addition PH procured equipment/technologies for all ELCE participant schools and trained teachers in the use of equipment that enriches the learning approaches being introduced through the program.
