EUCOM Conducts Civil Military Emergency Preparedness Seminar (July 17)

From July 13-17, a team of eight U.S. subject matter experts conducted the second in a series of eight disaster preparedness events that will culminate in a large Georgian inter-ministerial exercise in September 2016. This workshop focused on how Georgian officials can develop their own scenarios for future disaster preparedness training and exercises. The U.S. team members were subject matter experts from various U.S Agencies including Army

Corps of Engineers, the Center for Civil Military Relations, Department ofHomeland Security and State of Georgia Army National Guard. The over 40Georgian participants included nine different agencies and ministriesincluding Ministries of Defense, Internal Affairs, Agriculture, Health and Education. US EUCOM continues to provide essential services support to Georgia with events like this focusing on Disaster Preparedness
