Fatal Error, which takes place inside a video game, addresses issues of addiction and war while highlighting the importance of teamwork and gender equality.

Fatal Error was produced by Empower Women, a student group at the Tbilisi campus of San Diego State University Georgia, and a group of young Georgian artists.  The project was funded by U.S. Embassy Tbilisi and facilitated by San Diego State University – Georgia, with the assistance of the U.S. government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation.  The Fatal Errorcreative team learned how to write comics through a series of workshops led by writer Van Jensen (The Flash, Green Lantern Corps) and author/illustrator David Mack (Daredevil, Kabuki).  Comic book Ambassadors Van and David visited Georgia in June as part of the U.S. Embassy’s ongoing commitment to Georgian youth and economic development.

Copies of Fatal Error will also be available at the American Corners located in Tbilisi, Telavi, Kutaisi, Gori, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Zugdidi, Rustavi, and Khashuri , as well as the U.S. Embassy Bookmobile, which serves the Tserovani, Prezeti, and Galavani IDP settlements.  The American Corners and Bookmobile, funded by the U.S. Embassy, provide free computer and English language resources for all ages.  Information about the American Corners can be found here:
