Future Leaders Diplomacy and Critical Thinking in Action Workshop

The U.S. Embassies in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are recruiting 15 participants in each country (U.S. Exchange alumni and non-alumni) between the ages of 18 and 22. The participants should be interested and/or studying international relations, public diplomacy, conflict resolution, law or journalism for a regional conference in Tbilisi, Georgia. U.S. experts in diplomacy and conflict resolution will lead a 3-day conference on diplomacy and critical thinking skills. The U.S. and regional experts will discuss the value of diplomacy, historical examples of diplomatic talks and strategies, critical thinking skills and evaluating arguments and how to use the media and the development of communication plans. The conference will include expert-led sessions on diplomacy, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
The project will build a channel of constructive dialogue among regional young leaders. This project will improve teambuilding, leadership, and critical thinking and negotiation skills for future diplomats.
Selected participants will be notified by their respective Embassy. All of the expenses including travel, lodging, and meals will be provided for participants.
