Georgia Hosts 8th Technical Advisory Meeting for the Hepatitis C Elimination Program
Georgia is currently hosting the 8th Technical Advisory Meeting for the Hepatitis C Elimination Program, a significant event that aims to advance elimination efforts in the country. Since the Program’s launch in 2015, it has saved countless lives and has shown impressive leadership in implementing the world’s first Hepatitis C Elimination Program.
One of the Program’s most significant achievements is making Hepatitis C screening and treatment accessible to all Georgians, free of charge. This accessibility has enabled over 2.5 million adults to be screened for Hepatitis C, with over 81,000 of them receiving curative treatment. With such impressive figures, Georgia’s Hepatitis C Elimination Program is on track to achieve its goals.
We congratulate Georgia on its progress thus far.
