Georgia Hosts EPAG/ENAM Conference "Future of Democracy – Where Do We Go Now?"

Today, Chargé d’affaires Alan Purcell addressed the EPAG/ENAM Conference and ENAM General Assembly. The Exchange Programs Alumni Association of Georgia (EPAG) includes participants from all U.S. government exchange programs. This year’s conference centers on the global and local developments stemming from the Russian war in Ukraine.

European Network of American Alumni Association (ENAM) serves as the regional organization that brings together alumni of U.S. exchange programs across Europe, connecting individuals from 36 European and Eurasian countries, with a total membership exceeding 300,000. They collaborate annually with one of their member associations in Europe to organize international conferences on significant subjects. The theme of this year’s conference is “Future of Democracy – Where Do We Go Now?” and it is being held in Tbilisi, Georgia, and hosted by EPAG. This marks EPAG’s third time hosting an ENAM conference, with the previous one taking place in 2017.
