This week, two Deputy Heads of the Georgian Military Police (MP) Department, COL Amiran Nozadze and LTC Kakha Kidesheli; Deputy Commander of the Eastern MP Battalion, LTC Koba Lominadze, and Sergeant Major of the MP Department, SGTM Koba Tsirekidze came back from Fort Stewart, GA where they spent 9 days to learn more about US MP functions and operations. The 385th MP Battalion Commander LTC Rodgers and his staff briefed their Georgian counterparts on their battalion task organization, battalion mission and personnel roles. Georgian MPs visited Military Police School at Fort Stewart and attended their practical exercises and graduation ceremony.
This visit was scheduled to support Georgian MP ongoing reorganization.
EUCOM continues to fund this type of familiarization events to enable Georgian Ministry of Defense representatives learn more about their partner’s capabilities and increase their NATO interoperability and Defense capabilities.
