Public Performance of Georgian Comic Book music score (May 25)
On Friday, June 9 at 4:30pm, 20 musicians from Georgia and the south Caucasus will perform an original music score to the Georgian comic book Fatal Error at the Marjanishvili Theater main stage,8 Kote Marjanishvili St, Tbilisi. The performance is free and open to the public.
American composer and entrepreneur Olajide Paris, along with Georgian composers Levan Bagrationi-Davitashvili and David Toradze and Iranian composer Parsa Shomali created the score in a two-week intensive workshop that replicates the fast paced Hollywood film scoring industry. Olajide and 22 musicians will record the score on Sunday, May 28th at the Georgian Film studio, Akhmeteli 10a. The program is part of the U.S. Embassy innovation in film scoring project which introduces Georgian musicians and composers to income generating markets in the areas of film, television and video game orchestration. At the live performance on June 9, the comic book creators will announce the launch of Fatal Error issue #2. All visitors will receive a free copy of the comic book Fatal Error.
