Georgian Law Enforcement Officials Attend Annual Police Chief Conference in Dallas

Through participation in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition, the U.S. Embassy and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) continues to promote the capacity building and long-term effectiveness of Georgia’s law enforcement sector. From October 15–18, over 16,000 public safety professionals gathered in Dallas, Texas, to engage in four days of professional networking and training. This year, INL funded the participation of directors and deputies from the patrol police, central criminal police, as well as Tbilisi and Adjara Police Departments, and the Special State Protection Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy. The IACP conference is the largest and most significant law enforcement event of the year and included delegations from Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, and Tajikistan.
