Today we mark International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism. Acts of fear-based oppression and violence affect thousands of innocent individuals each year. Victims of terrorism continue in the struggle to have their voices heard, their needs met, and their rights protected. Victims can often feel overlooked, and many have trouble recovering from their trauma, while living with long term physical, psychological, social, and financial hardships. Today, we stand up for those who have been affected, and we pledge our support for their right to heal and live with dignity.
