Joint U.S.-Georgian military exercise Noble Partner concludes in Vaziani (May 24)

mexOn May 24 Maj. Gen. William Gayler of U.S. Army Europe joined Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Defense Minister Tinatin Khidasheli, and Chief of General Staff Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze to mark the conclusion of exercise Noble Partner. The closing ceremony began with a final live fire exercise featuring U.S. and Georgian fighting vehicles and soldiers and concluded with the awarding of military coins to the participating soldiers.

Exercise Noble Partner was the first time U.S. armored vehicles were brought to Georgia. Its main objective was to increase the interoperability of the two nations’ forces within the context of the NATO ‎Response Force.
