IMPORTANT UPDATE ON FLIGHTS!
Based on instructions from the Government of Georgia, no airline will operate regular commercial flights to/from Tbilisi until at least July 1. Until then, only Georgian Airways will run charter flights. No details have been released yet on flights in June.
Therefore, the list below represents the only flights we are currently aware of to depart Georgia. Please consult a travel agent or airline representative to book these flights or find out what connections are available from each of these cities. All flights operated by Georgian Airways except Minsk:
17 May – Tbilisi to Minsk, Belarus (Belavia, no direct connections to the USA)
18 May—Tbilisi to Larnaca (no direct connections to the USA)
20 May – Tbilisi to Athens (no direct connections to the USA)
22 May – Tbilisi to Rome (no details available)
If you cannot afford to buy a ticket for flights to the U.S. you may apply for a repatriation loan from the U.S. government to purchase the ticket; please contact the embassy for details.
Need to leave for the airport during curfew hours? Send us your plans (names, vehicle/driver info, time, and address of departure) and the embassy can request permission from local authorities for you to drive to the airport during the curfew.
Hotels in Georgia will be permitted to reopen beginning June 15.
Enroll in STEP: Our highest priority is the safety and welfare of U.S. citizens in Georgia. Please encourage your fellow citizens to sign up with our Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) so we will know how many Americans are here, we can contact everyone in an emergency, and you will receive occasional emails with information from the embassy.
Sincerely,
American Citizen Services
