Noble Partner 2016 Gets Underway in Georgia (May 11)

On May 11, US Chargé d’Affaires Nicholas Berliner—along with UK Ambassador Alexandra Hall Hall—helped open the Noble Partner 2016 military exercise at the Vaziani Aerodrome near Tbilisi.  They delivered opening remarks alongside Georgia’s President, Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Chief of General Staff.  Noting the threefold increase in the number of U.S. servicemen participating in this year’s exercise, and the welcome addition of UK servicemen, the Chargé d’affaires highlighted the momentum that Noble Partner is gaining as an international exercise that builds interoperability among NATO allies and partners.  The Chargé also conveyed appreciation of Georgia’s continuing contributions to international security missions around the world, calling Georgia a truly “Noble Partner.”
