English language skills are essential for professionals working with international partners. This is especially true for service members participating in joint and multinational exercises. That’s why the United States helped establish English language labs in Poti and Batumi, which has trained members of the Georgia Coast Guard since 2011. Today we were happy to help open the newly renovated language training center at the Poti branch of the Batumi State Maritime Academy. This decade-long assistance was made possible through the U.S. government’s Export Control and Border Security Program (EXBS).
