APPOINTMENTS & LOCATIONS 

All U.S. citizen services are available by appointment only. Please do not show up to the Embassy without an appointment for each service you require.  

After making the appointment, please do not forget to complete all application forms and to verify what documents you must bring with you. Complete the relevant form online, print the completed form singlesided, and bring it to the appointment.  

The American Citizen Services unit is currently providing passportand notarial services by online appointment.  To schedule a CRBA appointment at U.S. Embassy Tbilisiyou must create a MyTravelGov account, pay the $100 fee, complete the CRBA application online, and upload the required documents before requesting an appointment via email. You cannot request a CRBA appointment any longer through the below link. A limited number of appointments are available and wait times for appointments may be longer than usual.

Security Information

NOTE:  Applicants required to appear at the Embassy for an interview or other consular service must meet the following requirements:

  • Have no COVID or other illness symptoms, or a positive COVID test, or been under quarantine, or had close contact with anyone under quarantine or who had a positive COVID test, in the last 14 days; and
  • Comply with all Georgian Government entry requirements (generally being fully vaccinated or have a negative PCR test result administered 72 hours or less before arrival in Georgia), if applicable.

Please note that vaccination status does not affect the above requirements and there is no waiver of or exemption from these requirements.

Reasonable Accommodation

If you need reasonable accommodation for your appointment, we encourage you to request your accommodation immediately once you schedule your appointment. We make every effort to provide accommodations to persons with disabilities and medical conditions. Reasonable accommodations vary, depending on the situation and the person’s needs.
Examples of accommodations include, but are not limited to:

    • If you require a private appointment due to a medical condition or disability, we may schedule an alternative time for you to come in for your interview.
    • If you or your child has special needs that requires a private appointment in a quiet space without distractions, we may schedule an alternative time for you or your family to come in for your interview.
    • If you are unable to speak, you may be allowed to respond to questions in an agreed-upon nonverbal manner such as using pen and paper.
    • If you are deaf or hard of hearing, you may bring a sign language interpreter to translate during the interview if needed.
    • If you have low vision, we may provide you with communications in large print.

If you are unable to provide fingerprints because of a medical condition, including birth defects, physical deformities, skin conditions, you may qualify for a fingerprint waiver for certain fingers.

  • Interview waivers are only granted in extreme situations, such as having a medical condition that requires flying in an air ambulance.
