The U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation continues its efforts to strengthen Georgian regions’ resilience capabilities. Last week, COL Scott Jackal and LTC Patrick Fairfax of the Georgian National Guard, and ODC’s Major Daniel Secula traveled to Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti region to share their experience with local municipality representatives on emergency response. During a weeklong engagement, officials created plans for emergency response scenarios and conducted a tabletop exercise.
