The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) funded the creation of the Livelihood Development Center (LDC) in Zugdidi. The goal of this center is to actively support internally displaced persons and local community members with a collection of services and programs related to livelihood opportunities such as employment, vocational education, grants, internships, and training. LDC has been actively advising and helping since September 2019.

The U.S. government remains firmly committed to supporting IDPs and is looking forward to continuing these assistance programs with the PRM bureau.
