U.S. Army Europe Deputy Surgeon visits Georgia to study Georgia’s Amputee Care and Wounded and Injured Warrior Support programs (December 17)


On December 17, COL Anne Naclerio, Deputy Surgeon of the U.S. Army in Europe, visited Gori Hospital, Tsaravani Rehabilitation Center, and Kedia Physical Therapy and Prosthetics Center.   During her visit, the Deputy Surgeon met with directors of the rehabilitatioUSAREURn divisions at these facilities to gain insight into the development of Georgia’s Wounded and Injured Warrior treatment and support programs in order to apply these lessons in the development of a simil
ar program in Ukraine.  COL Naclerio also had the opportunity to meet Georgian Wounded Warriors in active physical therapy and discuss their treatment in Georgia and the United States as well.
