NOTE:  Applicants required to appear at the Embassy for an interview or other consular service must meet the following requirements:

  • Have no COVID or other illness symptoms, or a positive COVID test, or been under quarantine, or had close contact with anyone under quarantine or who had a positive COVID test, in the last 14 days; and
  • Comply with all Georgian Government entry requirements (generally being fully vaccinated or have a negative PCR test result administered 72 hours or less before arrival in Georgia), if applicable.

Please note that vaccination status does not affect the above requirements and there is no waiver of or exemption from these requirements.

The American Citizen Services unit is currently providing passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, and notarial services.  A limited number of appointments are available and wait times for appointments may be longer than usual. We will resume additional ACS services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date. Please see the sidebar “Making an Appointment” and our COVID-19 page for further instructions and information.

For American Citizen Services for persons traveling from other countries to Georgia, please see our FAQs for applicants traveling from outside of Georgia (PDF 164 KB).
