U.S. Citizen Services

The Department of State, through its Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, provides a range of routine and emergency services for U.S. citizens who live in Georgia or who are just visiting.  

To obtain information about the emergency services our office is able to provide, for example death of a U.S. citizen, medical emergencies, arrestswelfare and whereabouts inquiries, and child abduction cases, please visit the Special Consular Services page.

The American, or U.S. Citizen Services (ACS) Unit’s assistance includes but is not limited to, passport services, notarial services, and Consular Reports of Births Abroad (CRBA). The Consular Section also assists in emergencies, including deaths, arrests and crisis situations.
