U.S. Embassy Announces the 2019-2020 Fulbright Graduate Student Program (April 30)
TBILISI, April 30, 2018 – On Tuesday, May 1, Chargé d’Affaires Elizabeth Rood, together with the Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Bank of Georgia CEO Kakha Kiknavelidze, will announce the 2019-2020 Fulbright Graduate Student Program at a U.S. Embassy reception beginning at 16:30. The Fulbright Scholarship supports study in a master’s degree program at a U.S. university in all disciplines. Together with the U.S. Department of State, the program is co-sponsored by the Government of Georgia and the Bank of Georgia.
The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships offered by the U.S. Government. Those who participate have gone on to become leaders of change, Nobel Prize winners, presidents, and prime ministers.
Participation in the program is open to citizens of Georgia who meet the requirements as they are outlined in the announcement. The deadline for submitting applications is August 1, 2018. More detailed information is available on the U.S. Embassy website.
