U.S. Embassy Continues “America Days” in Akhaltsikhe on June 3 (June 2)

… and then in Gori on June 4, and ends in Tbilisi on June 6


On June 3 the America Days celebration continues in Akhaltsikhe.  Join the U.S. Embassy at the Rabati Castle as it brings the sounds, sights, and energy of America to the second of four cities across Georgia in a week-long celebration lasting from June 2-June 6.  Don’t miss out on any of the fun!

Admission to America Days is free of charge.  The U.S. Embassy invites everyone to attend America Days to enjoy live American music and celebrate the friendship between the United States and Georgia.  America Days showcases American culture and information on the diverse U.S.-supported programs in Georgia.

America Days began in Zugdidi on June 2, and after its next stop in Akhaltsikhe it will move to Gori on June 4 and then conclude in Tbilisi on June 6.

The following is the schedule of activities set to take place at America Days in Akhaltsikhe:

10:00 am      Opening of American Studies Conference at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University

3:00 pm        Opening of American Days Information Fair at Rabati Castle

6:00 pm        Live Concert by U.S. Band “Dangerflow” at Rabati Castel

At the Information Fair, visitors can learn about U.S. educational exchanges, consular and immigration services, various grants and assistance programs, the diverse work of the U.S. Agency for International Development, and other development projects in Georgia supported by the U.S. government.

During America Days, guests can also listen to American music and watch street dancing performed live by both Georgian and American artists and youth.  To celebrate America Days, the U.S. Embassy is showcasing the exciting, hip-hop and rock fusion music group, “Dangerflow” based out of Miami, Florida.
