The U.S. Embassy’s Earth Day campaign continues.  This month our partner CENN/USAID Waste Management Program organized an eco-tour for Tbilisi American Corner students to learn about how to carry out environmentally friendly practices in a workplace setting. The program raised awareness about environmental issues among young people, introduced them to the consequences of natural habitat degradation, and underscored the impact of good waste management practices for humans and the natural environment.

This April 22nd will mark the 50th anniversary of celebrating Earth Day. At the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, we believe Earth Day isn’t just a one-day event, but a daily commitment! We’ve planned an exciting program of diverse activities with a focus on education and the inclusion of youth in making every day “Earth Day.” To follow our activities, just search for #USinGeoEarthDay or go to earthday.org to learn more about how you can join in this worldwide endeavor.
