U.S. Embassy and GFSIS co-host conference on polling in Georgia (April 14)

IMG_0357Chargé d’Affaires Nicholas Berliner spoke at the opening of the U.S. Embassy sponsored conference titled, “Truth in Numbers: Reframing and Understanding Polling in Georgia,” hosted in collaboration with the  Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS). The conference brought together representatives of internIMG_0432ational and local research organizations, political parties, media, and civil society in a healthy discussion about the importance of political polling. The conference allowed political parties and media practitioners the opportunity to speak directly with all of the major local and international organizations that do polling in Georgia. Kathleen A. Frankovic, one of the world’s leading experts in public opinion polling, delivered the  keynote speech, as an invited guest speaker from the U.S. Embassy.
