U.S. Embassy Hosts Law Enforcement and First Responders Day

The U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi hosted Law Enforcement and First Responders Day.  The event was attended by officials from various Georgian government departments, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, State Security Service, Special State Protection Service, and Ministry of Health, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs Public Safety Command Center – 112, Special State Protection Service (SSPS), State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), Georgian Defense Forces, and LEPL Emergency Situation Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center/Ministry of Health.

he U.S. Embassy welcomed students from Tbilisi Schools 126 and 221, along with two groups of children with disabilities, with the assistance of representatives from McLain Association for Children (MAC Georgia), a local charity organization that provides support, education, and resources for vulnerable persons of all abilities while building the skills and knowledge of the families and communities that care for them.

This event expresses our appreciation for law enforcement and first responders in the United States and Georgia.  It also offers participants a unique opportunity to gain insight into the responsibilities and roles of first responders and law enforcement personnel in their local communities and the United States.
