U.S. Embassy in Georgia Statement (November 9)

On November 8, retired Ambassador Ross Wilson arrived in Tbilisi and will assume the role of chargé d’affaires, ad interim, at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi.  Ambassador Wilson is a seasoned diplomat, served as Ambassador to Turkey (2005-2008) and Azerbaijan (2000-2003), served in a similar interim charge capacity in Turkey in 2014, and will be a valuable addition to the leadership team at Embassy Tbilisi.  He looks forward to working with the Georgian government, civil society, and the Georgian public to advance the U.S.-Georgia relationship.
