U.S. Embassy moderated a roundtable on Green Entrepreneurship at Enterprise Georgia (December 1)


In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the U.S. embassy moderated a roundtable on Green Entrepreneurship at Enterprise Georgia www.enterprise.gov.ge where the Embassy amplified the importance and intent of the upcoming White House-sponsored 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley.  The audience of business students from various Georgian universities heard from a range of Georgian entrepreneurs and government officials on opportunities for entrepreneurship in Georgia.  Enterprise Georgia highlighted its ongoing training and financial programs available to SMES and budding entrepreneurs and the Technology Development Fund described it’s ongoing “smart/green” city development projects and innovative “fablab” centers that are supporting entrepreneurs, including in the commercialization of green technology.  The U.S. Embassy is proud to promote entrepreneurship and innovation to help Georgians transform their ideas into businesses and their businesses into engines of economic growth for Georgia.
