U.S. Embassy Supports Entrepreneurship in Georgia (August 21)

Tuesday, August 22, at 13:30, the Tech  Park will host Caucasus Young Leadership Program participants. Chairman of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), Mr. George Zviadadze will welcome the 11th and 12th graders. The students will be taken on an informative tour of Tech Park, presentation on GITA’s activities, and future projects of “Enterprise Georgia”.

The Caucasus Youth Leadership Program (CYLP) is an four-week exchange program coordinated by the Embassy that will send 10 Georgian and 10 Azerbaijani youth to Indiana University. There, they will enhance their English language and entrepreneurial skills.

Hailing from Khashuri, Marneuil, Pankisi, Rustavi, and Telavi, our Georgian participants already have compelling business ideas, such as entrepreneurial seminars geared toward women, biochemical labs designed to test the purity of local tap water, and the construction of outdoor cinemas in rural communities. The students are as passionate about developing their individual entrepreneurial skills as they are about applying these skills toward the benefit of Georgia.
