U.S. EUCOM road grader donation to Dmanisi municipality (December 19)

Today, the US European Command Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) has donated a road grader to Dmanisi municipality. The donation ceremony took place in Dmanisi where the Bilateral Affairs Officer Major Quintin T. Doll, Mayor of Dmanisi municipality Mr. Giorgi Tatuashvili, and Representative from the Georgian Revenue Service Mr. Paata Tsertsvadze signed a memorandum of understanding.

The road grader is donated through the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s (DSCA) Humanitarian Assistance Excess Property Program and is part of a broader support US Department of Defense annually provides to Georgia through its Humanitarian Assistance Program to include construction/renovation of government-owned facilities and equipment donations to support education, healthcare, emergency preparedness, and basic infrastructure improvement. The road grader will improve Dmanisi municipality’s emergency preparedness and will be used in support of the local population during natural or manmade disasters.
