Today, A/DCM Catherine Schweitzer, Defense Attaché COL Stephanie Bagley, and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ioseb Chelidze witnessed the Georgian Emergency Management Services receive their primary transportation and delivery systems from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. In addition to the ceremony for the official transfer, A/DCM Schweitzer also saw firsthand the use of the equipment by the EMS personnel in a simulated exercise that highlighted the training and response capabilities. This event highlighted the long partnership and continued support provided by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to ensure that Georgia is able to provide a rapid response capability against any chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense (CBRN)  threat.
