U.S. Government Helps Georgia Promote Workers’ Rights (March 4)

On March 4, Associate Deputy Undersecretary of Labor Mark Mittelhauser unveiled a U.S. government $750,000 award for the Solidarity Center to further advance worker rights in Georgia.  “We are funding it as part of our broader work in Georgia to help to build labor market institutions,” Mr. Mittelhauser told the press.  U.S. Associate Deputy Undersecretary of Labor Mark Mittelhauser is leading a delegation from the U.S. Department of Labor to Tbilisi for meetings on Georgia’s labor environment and the Georgian government’s efforts to strengthen protections for workers’ rights from March 1-5, 2015.
