U.S. Law Enforcement agencies represented in the Embassy have partnered to offer Cryptocurrency Seizure and Forfeiture Training to Georgian investigators and prosecutors by sharing our protocols and best practices. This training program further advances our work with Georgian law enforcement and the Prosecution Service of Georgia in drafting virtual currency seizure protocols for Georgia.

The U.S. Government continues its long history of providing assistance to boost capacity to investigate and prosecute crimes, to include cybercrime, and the criminal use of cryptocurrency. Our shared goal is to strengthen Georgia’s security and law enforcement capacity and capability to respond to domestic, international, and transnational threats.

Through this and other events, we provide our partners not only with law enforcement tools for effective investigations and prosecutions, but also with best practices for developing a modern, accountable, and transparent criminal justice system with an independent judiciary, and responsible and professional prosecution and law enforcement entities.
