U.S. Government Supports Training for Georgian Public Safety Command Center Operators
Last week, the U.S. Embassy’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau (INL) collaborated with Dr. Anastasia Pytal, psychologist and owner of Northern New Jersey Counseling Center LLC and First Responders Resilience Center, and Dr. Jean Kanokogi, director of mental health and peer support services for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, to organize a comprehensive training program focused on stress management and communication techniques. This training, which was tailored for Georgian Public Safety Command Center 112 operators, equipped participants with essential skills to effectively handle stress and sensitive calls, including those involving mental health crisis and suicide. The training program spanned several days and covered a wide range of topics essential for operators who work tirelessly to provide support and assistance to callers in distress.
